Medha Patkar lashes out at CM

Siwan (Magnificent Bihar): Narmada Bachao Andolan activist Medha Patkar on Thursday lashed out at the chief minister Nitish Kumar on corruption issue in Bihar. She said that everything “is not well in Bihar and the state is reeking of corruption.”

Speaking at a function here, Medha Patkar alleged that she had heard of large scale of corrupt practices in carrying development work by the Nitish government and people sufferring in Bihar. The furits of welfare scheme and development were not reaching to grass root level, she added and said that she had planned to meet the chief minister on Friday – “if Nitish Kumar gives me appointment I will definitely point out to him what is happening in Bihar?.”

Patkar, however, praised the efforts of Anna Hazare in rooting out corruption menace in the country and said that anti-corruption bill Jan Lokpal bill “is the ultimate solution to bail out the country from corrupt practices.”
