Begusarai(Magnificent Bihar): Police in the state have managed to seize a total of 2.25 quintals of contraband ganja which was being transported via a jeep. The police while on a routine checkup stopped the vehicle near zero mile in Bihar’s Begusarai district on Monday. When the driver tried to escape they nabbed him and searched the vehicle.
However such enormous amount of Ganja being shipped so recklessly does suggest that the smugglers were certain that they will not be caught. Or worse they could have been associated with an even bigger group which is going on with their illegal business under the scanner of security agencies.
The police may have seized 28 big packets of ganja, weighing 2.25 quintals but a question certainly is left unanswered, how did the smugglers manage to acquire such a huge cache of Ganja, and that to under the so called tidy law enforcement agencies in the state?
The police have estimated the value of the contraband ganja to be around Rs 10 lakh in international market.
