Patna: Indo-Nepal landlocked border in Bihar is gradually slipping into terror activity centre in the last few months. Terrorists, smugglers and anti-national elements find easy path to create terror in the area by entering to Nepal and coming in India for arms and ammunition smuggling and trade in counterfeit notes through sprawling open border which is giving agonising moments to Seema Shashtra Bal (SSB) and security forces deployed on the border! reports said.
According to reports, reaching from Madhubani and Araria districts anti-social elements are giving sleepless nights to security forces. A big haul of explosives containing two boxes, had been made on the border in Madhawapur police station in Madhubani district on Indo-Nepal border by SSB forces. Although two boxes of explosives had been seized, abandoned, probably entering into Indian border from Nepal by the smugglers, local people had surprisingly protested the seizure of explosives. Agitators while preventing SSB from seizing explosives set on fire the SSB camp in Madhawapur areas. Security measures had been strengthened.
Another report from Araria said that, the Araria Superintendent of Police had raided many points on Indo-Nepal border and arrested five persons including Rahul and Jitendra of Buland Shahar in Uttar Pradesh with incriminating documents and under the suspicious circumstances. Two Kahmiris had also been nabbed from border areas in the district under suspicious circumstances. All of them are being interrogated by the police, the SP said and added that although they claimed that they were tourists, their suspicious behaviour had deepened the doubts of the security forces. Their anecdotes were being verified. Patrolling in the entire border areas had been further strengthened by both Bihar police and SSB.
