‘Bihar Diwas’ to be a Spectacular Event this Year

Patna (Magnificent Bihar): The Bihar government has sent invitations to many Sons of the soil incluing actors of Bihar origin for Bihar Diwas centenary celebration in March. One of the most interesting invitations has been sent to the real Don of Bollywood the ‘Angry Old Man’ Amitabh Bachchan.

The Bihar Diwas marks the day when the British carved out Bihar from Bengal Presidency March 22, 1912. The day is celebrated with pride among the Biharis in the state and non-resident Biharis throughout the world.

Yaswant Prashar, a member of cultural committee for Bihar Diwas informed that a highly sophisticated guest list has been prepared and “Amitabh Bachchan will be one of the most special guests”.

He said that the government has also invited the presidents of Mauritius, Suriname and Fiji. Bollywood personalities like Shatrughan Sinha, Prakash Jha, Udit Narayan, Shekhar Suman, Manoj Bajpayee and Neetu Chandra have also been invited.

The Bihar Diwas was first celebrated in 2010, it is one of the most revolutionary achievements of Bihar’s chief minister Nitish Kumar.
